A vintage painted french counter cabinet from the 1940s.
In French this is called a “bahut” and used in a kitchen as a pantry or storage cabinet.
It is deep and has two drawers as well as two shelves.
A simple leaver closing mechanism keeps the doors closed.
The counter was painted in an off white which has chipped in placed over the years which adds to the patina and character of the piece
The inside is roughly painted. The back is not painted.
This would make a fantastic shop counter, kitchen storage, linen press or in a bathroom as a sink stand.
Thoroughly cleaned and ready to be used for many more years.
