A vintage French camping bed “lit de camp” from the late 40s
Made from a wooden and metal frame and a sturdy hemp canvas hammock.
One of the end crossbars that links the two sides is missing but it doesn’t affect the sturdiness of the bed.
They are sought out for their design and cool industrial look. These look great dressed up with pillows as a daybed or bench.
The hemp canvas is strong and remarkably comfortable.
There is some wear to the canvas including rust stains from the straps and a tear.
The bed folds down completely and can be tied together with straps. See last picture
