This is a genuine antique french pure hemp sheet/tablecloth. It has a hand embroidered T on one corner and an E on the other. See photos.

It measures 212xm wide x 317cm long

Made from two panels of homespun hemp linen.
In the early 1900s when this was made the hemp could only be woven to the maximum width allowed by the machine. Two panels were then pieced together to create a larger piece used as a tablecloth or bedsheet

The cloth is in good vintage condition with some wear to the weave which is to be expected. There are no holes.

The antique hemp drapes beautifully. This cloth could be used as a tablecloth but also as a bedspread, summer blanket or even curtain considering the length.

I have a few of these antique pure organic hemp cloths as well as linen cloths in different sizes. Please see my other listings.

All our antique hemp is sourced from Burgundy, France.

Hemp tablecloths add instant rustic charm and elegance to a table. The hemp is beautifully relaxed and you can choose to wash and dry it and use it as is or iron it for a more crisp look.

You will receive the tablecloth freshly laundered.

The colour of these hemp cloths is creamy white/ antique white.

There may be signs of wear and use on the cloth due to its age and vintage nature. These include thinning of the weave in places and discolouration. This is normal and is not considered a defect. Anything that would be considered a defect such as a hole or stain would be described and pictured
