Antique hemp linen sheet
Antique hemp linen is coarser and has lots of texture. The uneven handspun fibres give lots of dimension.
This hemp textile would have been made on a home loom in a farmhouse and two pieces hand sewn together down the middle to achieve the full necessary width to cover a bed. Therefore there is a line down the middle where the two pieces have been joined.

Small monogram embroidered initials MB with the number 2. This would be part of a trousseau set prepared for a newly wed couple.
