This is a really cool and very decorative folk art tool box.
Complete with a sliding top and hand done inlaid pattern.
There is a handle on one side and angle protectors on two sides for when the box is placed down.
It’s made extra special by the hand written name and address on a child’s hand writing with the note saying the box is for knitting supplies. Likely it was the boxes second or third life already.
Some signs of historical woodworm but nothing active and I have treated it just to be sure.
